Oh I believe you!  I think I know about right where you were hunting just by your first post.  Man do I love that country!
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

I hunted that unit for 8 days during archery elk.  I saw a total of 2 deer the whole.  I saw a yearling doe and a wallhanger 4 point.  I almost got that guy too!

I love that country.  Used to be so good deer hunting back in the day.

Only 6 deer were killed in the Rimrock Unit last year according to WDFW.

Truly sad.   :(

The dist bio cites hairloss as the reason for the Rimrock/Bethel , etc deer-pocalypse.  As for the blocked roads it's true.  Was over on Oct 1 for grouse and they had big thousand pounders blocking a couple of the roads we used to take up Fish Cr. Rd to lower Jump Off Joe areas.

I'd like to see all these nice bucks guys are seeing in there, I've spent alot of time but haven't ever seen anything very impressive deer wise, now elk that's a different story.
