where are the blacktail bucks

so went to my spot this morning and walked the whole area, saw 13 does and not a buck with them! this has never happened to me before, the rut is obviously not started here. buddy has does in his yard all the time and has not seen a buck, what is going on?

Keep at it. They are just kicking in here. If you saw 13 does and are seeing them frequently you're going to see a buck soon if you stick with it.

I get lots of bucks on my trail cameras but haven't seen one while hunting yet. I rarely even see a doe. But they're there. They just sleep all day. I think that's the main problem.

I've been hunting various areas in the coweeman and have not seen a buck yet. only seen a glimpse of 2 does. Its been bleak in those areas. sign is there but deer are not. Very nocturnal.
