Recently a 3-4 YO Female Chessie was found on a floating dock in Gig Harbor. She was taken to a vet clinic where a friend of mine works. They've been unable to locate the owner. I'm likely going to be getting her on Saturday to board her for a bit longer/until we can find the owner or a home. We don't know if she has any hunting skills yet but, I'm told she is spayed, very healthy, friendly and good with people and other animals. I've seen a picture of her and she's a very nice looking dog.

If you guys know of anyone with a spayed female Chessie who is missing, please get in touch with me. If you might have interest in giving her a permanent home, drop me a line. I'll be doing an evaluation on her when she gets here and I'll know more then.....

She is a light brown with a little white mark on her chest. Very nice looking head and build. She is a fit dog who was well cared for. No micro-chip or collar. Hap

Yes, spread the word around where ever you can. We'd obviously like to find the owner first and foremost! A good home would be secondary if the owner can't be located. Thanks-

I might know someone who would be interested, doesn't matter if the dog hunts just needs to be somewhat trained.

Can you get any pics?. He's more likely to get sucked in to taking her, its my girlfriends dad and step mom. They had to put there dog down almost two years ago and do not want a puppy. So this dog sounds like it would be great

She is still available. It looks like I'll be taking her this weekend as a temporary home. I'll be able to assess her a little better by then and find out more about her personality and abilities.

I've been told she is a sweet girl who is spayed, about 3-4 years old. If you guys have any interest please send me a PM and we can chat. Like I said, give me a few days with her and I'll be able to give you a first hand account of what she's like and do a little bird work with her to see how she responds to birds and guns.

Thanks for the interest. There are a few photos floating around. I'll see if I can get a few to post. If not, when i get her I'll take a bunch of pictures and post a description of what I see in her.

I picked up Jessie the rescue Chessie today. She's a real sweet dog. I introduced her to four new dogs and she got along with all just fine. I'm told she's good with kids. She's definately friendly and had no issues warming up to me. She loves to play fetch and is fast and stylish. She is a good marking dog. I'm going to play around with her and try to see if she has any hunting experience or interest in birds. He retrieve is good and she seems reliable with bumpers etc. At first glance she'd be a real nice dog for someone looking for a real nice pet who likes to play fetch and get a lot of loving. I'll keep you guys updated on any interest or hunting abilities once I've had more time with her and test her out a bit. Otherwise, so far I like her a lot and she seems to be a real nice dog.

Here is a picture of her. Shes a good looking Chessie.

Found her a home in New Mexico with a friend who has an 8YO chessie. Lives on 25 acres. It will be a great place for her! Anyone happens to be driving to New Mexico soon and can take her along, let me know! Thanks for the offers and being on the look out for her!

Did you find the chessie a ride to texas?
I believe best friends sanctuary website has a way to post looking for a ride.  Just got an email this week about a cat trying to get to Spokane from Seattle.  He was in Arizona so he made it a long way with the help of animal lovers

We got the rides lined up. She's getting a ride to the Nat. Am. Field Trial with a friend of mine. Boarding at a trainers' kennel who is close then, has a ride to New Mexico with a guy who answered a on-line request for a ride from the National back to New Mexico. All worked out very well.
