« on: October 19, 2011, 04:28:49 PM »
Went out this morning and got my 7 in 2 hours.. should have been 25 mins but didn't shoot that great.. little too much brown, so I gotta work on that..
my 2 buddies went and got their 14 in 2 hours in a different place too.. pretty good day for the 3 of us..

Congrats!

I read the contest from last year and saw that you and others limit regularly. It may not seem like a big deal but, to me it's that place I've yet to be -I've still to get a limit. This will be my 3rd season. Hopefully this will be the year.

Love to see the pics. Thanks for posting.

thanks y'all! just gotta start gettin' more color now! ha

Heartsblood, keep at it! I'm doing 10 times better than I did last year already due to being able to get out more, scouting, scouting, scouting, scouting, and knowing where to scout. You'll get there!!

Thanks man. :)

So I'm trying to ID your limit and I get the mallards, and I think the two on the bottom left are widgeons? The top left a GW teal? What is the top right bird?

Can ya school me?

thats the thing that has helped me out the most, just scouting and finding out where the birds want to be.. you are more successful that way.. GO WHERE THE BIRDS ARE!

so I shot 2 drake mallards, 1 hen mallard, 2 hen wigeon, 1 drake gwt, 1 hen gwt
so the bottom from left to right is hen wigeon, hen wigeon, drake mallard, hen mallard, drake mallard (not fully colored yet) then the two top birds from left to right, hen gwt, drake gwt (not colored up)
