Berretta Extrema 2 - Which choke.
« on: October 19, 2011, 11:17:36 PM »
I picked up the kicks high flyer mod choke.  I wasn't getting the results at the further distances that I was used to.  Does anyone have a good one that has performed well out past the decoys.  It will be good for 20 yards and under, but I like those more challenging shots.

I've used the kicks high flyer mod choke tube in my benelli extensively and have gotten excellent results. Don't know out of an Extrema 2, but I stand by kicks high flyer in my benelli's  :twocents:

I'll concure with those fellas. I had a pattern master in mine for awhile, but wasn't really pleased with the less than 30 yard shots. So I bought the kicks full and haven't taken it outta the gun since. Good for the closeups, and great on the 50 yarders.

Y'all already know, every gun is different. I shoot a SBE II.

Having been on this forum for a few years now, you haven't seemed like a guy struggling to put birds on the groove. So why the switch? New gun?

At any rate, good luck with the search!

I like to buy new gadgets each year.  Picked up the Extrema and a Super X 3.  Super X has been deadly.

Anyone running the kicks Steel full through the gun.  I think I am going to pick one up as I have the mod and see how it patterns as well.

What load are you running through your gun? I have the extrema 2 and run the pattern master. I shoot 3in 1 1/4 oz 2's  @ 1450 fps. I used to be a firm believer in "speed kills" but my shots to kills ratio has improved with the bigger payload. I shoot kent to keep the cost down.

I haven't tried the IC with BC at this time.  Just trying to get it dialed in.  I have a shelf full of various aftermarket chokes for my other guns and figured I would throw it out and pick a choke based on good info I could pick up.  I think I am going to hit the pattern boards mid week.
