Sisters first deer 4x4 w Eyeguard
« on: October 20, 2011, 06:12:33 PM »
Shes been hunting for 5 years and never brought one down. This was pretty exciting for her. My brother told us where the deer were bedded on a knob and we hiked in and set up on a knob 500 yards from where by brother said they were. we sat for maybe 15 minutes and something spooked the deer and they came down crossed the field at maybe 250 yards running hard...I told my sister where to hold and to shoot whenever they paused. she pulled the trigger at the 2nd buck 300 yard shot and it dropped. pretty long shot but she got it done I was proud of her. She has done alot hiking in the last 5 years of hunting trying for her first and it finally paid off.

That is awesome, good shot and good buck!
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Nice buck, congratulations. It makes that first buck even better after all the time she put in before she finally connected.
