Back from Wyoming
« on: October 21, 2011, 06:41:13 AM »
Just got back from Wyoming antelope hunt, long drive, 3 of us got 6 antelope 3 bucks and 3 does and I got a 3x4 Mule deer also
Nothing huge but for first time antelope it was fun, lots of wind, lots of antelope, lots of unposted private land.
We hunted a ranch of a friend of a friend, not many deer in the area (CWD) and took first good buck I saw.
Long shots on everything in 30 + mph crosswind, .257 Weatherby did great, love it, turns them inside out.
Good year for me
Elk archery 4x4, 2 antelope and a 3x4 mule deer, full freezer.
Heres a couple of pics

When you said lots of unpsoted private property, did you have issues with landowners?   Looks like you had a great time tagging out on the lopes and deer :IBCOOL: Are you going to get any taxied?

No issues other than seeing nice bucks and not shooting them cause hardly anything is posted and you just don't know if its legal or not..
We pretty much hunted antelope on one parcel of a friend and some walk in areas for deer
Yes I am having my antelope mounted
Thanks

Nice looking lope. Congrats on a good hunt.  A good firend of mine just got back from there, he has gone every year for the past 17 years and this year he killed a B&C buck, holy smokes it's a whopper buck!

You ARE having a great year! Looks like you got the big one for sure, but they at least filled their tags. Congrats.
What area/unit did you hunt?
