SportsmanRegs has rolled out their iPhone App (Android by years end) and hunters who have seen it are very impressed.  The App is location based.  You drop a pin on a spot and the App displays all the hunts in that area.  It also tells you what you can harvest and displays Terrain and Satellite layers, integrated with GPS, with zoom for greater detail.  This is just scratching the surface!

Sportsman Regs App – Quick Reference Information 

Home Page:
  •   Buttons to state website links, Purchase a License, Report a Crime, Report Harvest, etc.
Map Page:
  •   State hunt areas defined by color and boundary lines
  •   Hold your finger steady on screen to “drop a pin” (GPS position of pin noted in upper left corner of screen),  press blue arrow for hunt information related to that pin-drop spot
  •   Press “Calendar” button (top of screen) to display hunt dates for this pin drop
Go back to Map Page:
  •   Press “i” (information) at top of screen to change Animal and to view state by Map, Satellite, Hybrid or Terrain (use fingers to zoom in / zoom out)
Animals Page:
  •   Animal descriptions and special requirements
Regs Store Page:
  •   Purchased states listed
Settings Page:
  •   Apply sorting parameters within App

I like the looks of it, I will be getting it as soon as you release the droid version. I hope I can install all 4 states that I regularly hunt. 

I was also thinking this might be a neat little prize for some of our fun contests here on the forum.

Thanks for the comments, we are steadily working on the Droid and its looking good.  The App would be a great prize for contest winners!

For those with an iPhone, if you have access to an iPad you'll be greatly impressed.  We have engineered the App to be sharp and crisp on a larger screen.  The maps look fantastic and when you "drop a pin" on the map screen, you can zoom in on terrain you've not seen before.  The App also gives you that very GPS position with the hunts and harvest regulations for that very spot.....priceless.

Great comments, we actually are getting things together for our first u-Tube video, something like Sportsman Regs 101.  We will post the videos on Forums and Facebook.

We hope to have the Droid version released by years end at the latest.
