Seen my first Robo Buck
« on: October 22, 2011, 08:59:57 PM »
So i was out "roadhunting" when my brother came flying around the corner in a panic saying that he let a vehicle pass him and when that vehicle drove around the next turn they bailed out and shot this nice muley. Next thing you know a ranger came running out of the woods and a truck flying up the road with his lights on. So we decided to go take a look at it. Drive down the road, found the buck and my cousins buddy walked up to it and took this picture. Same truck came flying up to us and yelled and my cousins buddy. He then checked our tags and guns. He was not very happy with us.  :chuckle:

We later ran into the guys that shot the buck. Apparently they didnt get a ticket. The warden said that they are more looking for people shooting from inside the vehicle.

I ran into a similar situiation once..... Two guys bailed out right in front of me and shot this deer legaly.... Turns out is was a decoy..... They were just trying to catch people shooting from vehicles.... The guy was pissed..... I thought he was actually going to beat the warden with the deer decoy.... I asked the warden WTF would you set up a sting in an area where the season is open and legal if you step out the rig..... Didn't get an answer...  Doesn't make any sence to me...... Ruined the guy's hunt and he did nothing wrong.... Was just cruzing back to camp....
