Bushnell Range finder...looking for a better range finder
« on: October 22, 2011, 11:50:06 AM »
Ok, I use my range finder for archery season, keep it in a protective case and only use is it occasionally, however I'm on my second Bushnell range finder and now its broke. I'm looking for a new one and after doing some research I found a few that might work. What do you guys use?

Want one that fits in my shirt pocket, really only need it for archery hunting, but long range yardage would be a plus if I ever switch to rifle hunting.

What do you think about Bushnell products?

well i've had 3 bushnell scopes and 2 of them crapped out on me while i never mounted the third. looks like you've had 2 bushnell rangfinders in a row dump on you....... so thats what i think of bushnell products. Pretty crappy lol.

People always love the leica rangefinders but i dunno if thats in your price range.

the redfield one has been getting the thumbs up all over the place.

here is a nikon archers choice 600 for $199 (usually $375 i think). it should have all your archery high tech mumbo jumbo in it.

hope you find what your looking for

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

I have the Swaro's and I have a couple buddies with the new Bushnell 1600's. I have to say the Bushnell compares very well against the swaro. They don't range quite as far but they seem to range as well or better in bad (rangefinder unfriendly) conditions.
Shouldn't ha done dat...

Don't know too many guys that liked their bushnell rangefinders.  Battery life is horrible. I've got a 4 year old nikon monarch 800. Put my second battery in before this season just cause. Other one wasn't dead. I would buy it again.
