Whidbey, Camano, or....?
« on: October 23, 2011, 01:00:31 PM »
So this year I have really laid down the boot leather (30+ miles). I have been over to Winthrop, Whidbey, and Camano with no success.  :bash: I saw multiple doe, tracks, poop, (daily) and two bucks (not legal) over in Winthrop. Then I decided to try closer to home (Whidbey/Camano- Any Deer) and still no success. I'm making everyday a full day hunt and still nothing. I plan on hunting after work each day and plan to still hunt the two islands, but any idea if I would have better luck at Whidbey or Camano? They both seem like good places, but figured I'd ask and see if someone knew them better. I have done lots of research on both locations for public land and have found more public on Whidbey than Camano. I have already been to all the places I researched and they look pretty good, now I just need peoples opinions on each location and which might be a better place to focus on. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Feel free to pm me too. Thanks

There is 800 acres of state land on Whidby, the state park. It has a bunch of deer in it.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!

Thanks for the help. I'll definitely try rattling. Should I also try a doe bleat or buck grunt? Doe or buck urine? Thanks
