a bear is eating my 4pt
« on: October 23, 2011, 10:05:35 PM »
shot a little 4pt - it ran off into some really thick tall grass and bushes and I wasn't able to locate it, figured I'd try again at first light when I could see better.

I found a 2/3 eaten carcass buried in grass, the bear really scraped up the tall grass the deer laid down in.

I set up a trail camera that same day and caught the bear that night

ya its a garbage bear, wouldn't want to eat it I wouldn't think, needs killed.
think its probably the same one thats been raiding houses all along that area late at night, ate someones chickens the other day.
someone will make this bear go away soon enough.
I haven't been able to hunt for it yet, but the cam is running.

If you shoot it do you have to put your bear tag and your deer tag on it?  Seeing as the largest poriton of your deer is in it's gut?   :chuckle:
Such is life in the West and the further West the more the such.
