That really puts their size into perspective.   That photo reminds me of the quote from Jaws, "We need a bigger boat!" :o

It was a nice day and Fred decided he wanted to take some pictures of his "new" bear outdoors. My Dad took the head, Fred and I each took a leg and we carted it out the back door of the factory.

For those who remember the old ABC "American Sportsman", this is the bear in the film segment on the beach across the Shellikoff Strait north from Kodiak Is, with Fred behind a boulder and the bear passing by at 10 yards.
