Kids sized decent hunting pants??
« on: October 25, 2011, 02:39:02 PM »
I know I wore levis for many years, but nowadays I wear synthetics, sometimes wool if it is warranted... trying to find a good pair of pants for my daughter. She's only 12 and is only about 4'7" tall and is pretty dang skinny... not sure where to find decent pants for her!!! Any ideas.

Watch E-bay. I get a lot of stuff for my nephews off there that is in almost new condition for great prices since the kids outgrow it all so fast.

Camo sweats pulled over her normal pants..

My son was growing so fast when he was that age. I bought him a pair of upland chaps. They are pretty adjustable, looked kinda funny on his skinny frame, but at 14 now he is wearing my pants with the belt cinched down about 5 notches :chuckle:
I have a 11 yr old daughter that I haven't had out in the field yet, so I will be following this thread.  As she may not like the Chaps idea.

Luckybums is a decent brand for kids.  Good Quality - Not Cheap.  You can find it on the internet.

Camo sweats pulled over her normal pants..

Might as well just wear the jeans.
How about to keep dry or warm once wet?

Guess i did not read were warm or wet was the issue? Frog toggs are inexpensive and a good buy for wet, if warm is an issue then wool or good insulated stuff from like cabelas etc, i bought my boys the camo overall's that fit over some good winter clothes, but then i guess he did not mention camo either.

Thanks for all the idears... I went to cabelas yesterday... the only things they had in her size were just cotton jean type stuff. i wish there microtex pants were small enough... almost, but not quite. Those pants are a fantastic value!
