Johnson Creek Warning
« on: October 25, 2011, 07:09:39 PM »
Hey all you that hunt the walk-ins off of Johnson Creek.  There has been one car stolen, and today I saw a truck with the gas lid open and the cap off.   Just a warning. :bdid:  Bunch of BS if you ask me...

its a tweekers paradise out there.

one year my truck's radiator was acting pretty iffy so I carried water in a five gallon gas can and left it sitting in the bed in case of emergency. I was hunting one of the walk ins off johnson creek and when I returned my gas can full of water was missing.  on the way way back to lacey I saw some fellows broke down on the side of the road, and one was holding my gas can, while sniffing it and looking very puzzled. I turned around and passed them again while doing the simpson "HA HA" laugh and flipping them the bird. :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

that gas thing is a good idea, at my work people kept stealing a five gallon gas can we keep on hand, i decided to fill it half with water. it got stolen a day later, i did it again and that can got stolen 3 months later. nothing since, maybe only two tweakers currently on the prowl in my area. this works great they will always fall for it, i encourage all to try it. just make sure family and friends know of course just in case.

I caught a couple of dudes looking around a truck parked at the Weyco gate just down from my place last week.  I stopped and asked them if they were lost.  They just got in their old beat up tan Toyota 4x and left.  I think there should be a bounty on tweekers!

It is getting worse and worse all the time.  Something bad will happen to one or a few of them then you will hear their family on TV saying what a nice person they were and they had some troubles but not worth what happened to them and they are going to sue to try to stop this activity from ever happening again.  It is usally the mother or sister... :bash:

Trust me with the economy and with all the prisons letting convicts free cause its to spendy to house them, the once that we are letting go are the tweekers, Thieves and drug offenders, there the most nuisence to the communities and society.  And the economy is not getting any better so lock your chit up.. And I have even better story, i was elk hunting a couple years ago, parked at a gate and my buddies and I get back to my truck and I start it up and it sounded like a 2 stroke motor cycle, a effin tweeker hacked my cadaltic converter off right at the gate.. How *censored* is that, only if we could have walked up on the SOB while he was under my truck hackin it off.. :bash: :bash:  Its not going to get any better anytime soon i do know that, lock your chit up where ever your at.. And as for Johnson Creek, if you live near there I would have a good guess on a few house holds on that road that would be a good culprate as to who the tweeks and thievs are..  :bash:

i think the most obvious place burned down a couple years ago, but there's still plenty of shacks with "no trespassing" signs on the front door out there.  wonder what they're hiding...
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,

I think we should grab some beer, put some shiny things in the back of a truck, hide in the bushes and at the very least scare the living $hit out of these morons.  I don't feel safe leaving my rig anywhere in the valley anymore.

This happened to my best-man's 4runner during my wedding.  He was parked in the church parking lot and his cat-converter was cut off.  But that's Everett for you...  I'm acually glad we didn't catch that SOB or I'm sure some of my groomsmen would have spilled his blood.  We even had several groomsmen packing heat that day as well as several long guns in the church that we used for some western style pictures.  It could have gotten ugly.

Rather than dontat an $8 gas can  - this may work, though the results wouldn't be as immediate.

A guy I knew at Boeing would save all of the oil bottles and the card board case when he changed his oil.  After draining the old oil from his rig, he would very meticulously refill the empty bottles with the used oil, making sure they were all clean and tidy.  He would put them all back in the case, again all clean and tidy, and then place the box so it could be seen in the back of his truck when parked in any given parking lot - work, supermarket, etc.  He said the boxes were usually gone when he got back to the truck if he had been away for a decent length of time.

It is definitely not as quick of a result as water in the gas tank, but there is no $$$ invested in this one.  I'm thinking that used oil could use some "special" additives before being sealed up again.

Johnson Creek has been an issue for a long long time now unfortunatly.

It's too the point I really hate leaving my rig anywhere anymore when going on an  outdoor excursion.
May that for which I prepare never come to pass.

On the used oil one I bet all that accomplished is some used oil being dumped some place it shouldn't and not ruining some ass-hat's engine.  I like the sugared gas idea.  That way it looks like and smells like gas and puts their vehicle out of commission in short order if they take the bait.  The problem is if you come across somebody who is really stranded and needs some gas you'll feel like an ass if you are hauling around a can full of sugared gas thief bait.

I believe that qualifies as first degree aggravated assault in this state and the shooter will end up doing time and losing firearms privileges.  You also can't claim self defense on a car prowl unless you are in the car and they present a credible threat to life and limb.  Castle doctrine also does not apply to laying in wait in your Camo while overwatching your bait car. ***

I watched two mexican illegal types looking into my rig and checking the doors, a while back at crab creek. only problem i heard the car coming, was coyote calling so moved in closer and sat there in full camo i mean face gloves the works, with my assaut rifle, and was waiting when they arrived, they did nothing and neither did i. always wondered what i woulda done if they broke in. i leave nothing of value in my rig and i make it clear there is nothing to steal, guess that was lucky for me and them. they never ever knew i was there 50 yards.

A friend of mine who fishes the Toutle and Cowlitz alot leaves a note on his seat stating that there is nothing of value in his rig, leaves his glove box open and places all the glove box contents on the seat in plain view. He keeps his vehicle registration with him when he is off fishing.  It seems to hve worked so far, he hasn't gotten broken into but his buddy who keeps leaving his wllet in the glovebox has been hit 4 times while parked next to him.

I keep a 6 gallon gas can in my shed for the lawn mower and such. A few years back it kept getting empty real fast. I filled it with diesel just to see what would happen. After a weekend or two it was about empty. So I used what was left to start a burn pile and filled it up with gas again. It hasnt ever gone empty overly fast since. Maybe the diesel patched the leak.  :dunno:

I'm guessing some neigbor learned a lesson the hard way.

its a tweekers paradise out there.

one year my truck's radiator was acting pretty iffy so I carried water in a five gallon gas can and left it sitting in the bed in case of emergency. I was hunting one of the walk ins off johnson creek and when I returned my gas can full of water was missing.  on the way way back to lacey I saw some fellows broke down on the side of the road, and one was holding my gas can, while sniffing it and looking very puzzled.
