I can get to the front page on my computer .  When I try to access the forum I get

"Could not find hunting-washington.com"

Try reloading: hunting-washington.com/smf/index.php

However..  using my phone on the same wifi gets me right on.

In the pm you said others were having trouble, can you get me more info about them?

If this problem is only occuring on one or two computers I am inclined to say you have a computer problem, maybe try refreshing or cleaning your cache.

Thanks for the info to all who have posted...

Update:
The site technition is horribly sick, he almost had to go to the ER last night but made it through the night and is going to see his doctor today, he likely will not get to this problem until he is a little better, hopefully by tomorrow.

Everyone:
Please keep posting any additional problems and info you may have, we need to know how many members are having trouble and what types of error messages. This info will help him track down the problem.

I'm guessing that some of the issues are related to DNS. I'll try to explain. When you attempt to navigate to a website like "www.hunting-washington.com", your computer does not recognize the common text words. The actual website has a numeric name - something like "66.79.167.110."  The process of translating your recognizable text name to a name that computers understand is done by Dynamic Name System (DNS) computers. There are literally hundreds of DNS servers worldwide that work to resolve common names into computer addresses.

Sometimes these servers get confused and can't recognize a name.  The problem will usually resolve itself within 24 hours.

Since different ISPs may use different DNS servers, that may explain why some users are experiencing issues, while others are not.

A simple step you can try is turning your computer's modem off, waiting 10 seconds, and turning it back on. This can reload current DNS data to your computer, which may resolve the problem.

Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

I hope he gets better, the flu is starting early this year. Had 1 co worker go to the ER for it.

When i go to the cached page.. it is from 2:20 am today... if that helps.
By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.
