I had the same problem last night as with the original meme thread, except that a log out, log in, log out on cellular data did not clear up the hung session as before.

Sorry to say the new new new new memes thread is doing the same as the last. Once I click on the topic some of the pics do not show up and then I am unable to get on the site for an hour or so. This has happened the last three times I tried to view it.

I don't have real fast internet, I operate off a Verizon Mifi. But I am able to view any of the meme topics and post in them. It's hard to figure out the problem when it works fine for me. I think the issue must be related to service quality, browsers, or a compatibility issue with certain devices or software, unfortunately I haven't been able to pin it down. I've tried to get a specialist to look at it, but the people I've used in the past for issues like this have been unavailable, I'll try to find a new person to look into it.

OK thanks for the info, you are not the only member having problems. I would just avoid those topics until we can figure out why they cause problems.

I have had trouble with the memes and nothing else.

ok finally got back on HW after crashing out of the meme thread.  I deleted the thread again. 

I viewed the last page fine, then went back a few pages and bam.  It started off with a post that had multiple meme's that failed to show up, then I knew I was hosed.  I scrolled down and posts with one meme didn't load either.  here's a few snips of the problems encountered.

OK, hopefully that clears it up, if you have time please send a message to the frequent posters and ask them to only post 1 or 2 memes at a time to see if that works for everyone.

OK, we think we have zeroed in on the issues with computers locking up when viewing the memes topics! 

I just had a lengthy conversation with Liroy, the man in charge of the software that the forum operates on. His thoughts are that the total number of graphics per page are causing our problems. He recommended two actions to attempt to resolve the issue.

1. Reduce the number of posts shown on each page of a topic
(so I have reduced the posts shown from 25 to 15 per page)

2. Reduce the number of images per post
(KFHunter had already requested only 1 meme per post and that has been working)
(Liroy thinks we can get away with 2 memes per post since we have reduced the number of posts to 15)

If anyone has an issue with any topics or other issues on the forum please let me know as soon as possible because I am going to have someone correcting some other issues on the forum that I will ask to try and fix the problems?
