What phone are you both using?  Iphone or Android.  I can not do a new post in anything.  I have a Galaxy Note 8 The profile think I knew that was a issue between the forum and Tapatalk

The profile thing works fine on other forums. Just doesn’t work on huntwa. Maybe it’s a SMF/Tapatalk interface thing??

for me profiles are no big deal but it is just recently I am not able to post a new thread from scratch.  That could be a difference in App to between the 2 os's of phones.

Why can’t you start a new thread using Tapatalk? It works for me. I just posted in the classifieds and included a photo, using Tapatalk. See the thread titled “Test.”

I can do pretty much everything in Tapatalk without issues. Can’t search and can’t see member profiles.
Also, as far as the lack of support regarding Tapatalk, huntwa is the only forum that I have any issues at all with the app.  I use the app on 4 or so different forums. Is the support issue only a thing with SMF? Because Tapatalk is alive and well.

Apparently SMF is not the only software that tapatalk has problems. There is some interesting banter regarding tapatalk, I don't know if all the comments at that link are true but it more or less verifies what Liroy told me. The net result if there is no longer reliable support then every time SMF or any other forum software make improvements to their software compatibility issues could arise.

There is an alternative application mentioned there for androids that I haven't heard of before which they claim is better:

I looked around but could not find anything that appears to be a good replacement app for iphones?

I've been hopeful someone will develop a better SMF theme that automatically arranges the forum for phones. There is a paid theme I could buy, I'm trying to learn more about it. When you have time could you look at their forum and see if it looks ok to you?

What is our upload limit for images? I just wrote a whole long post about my new rifle and added 20mb or so of pics and it didn't post and I think I've lost it.

8 photos 800x600 is what the system is set to load. I don't know what it takes to overload a post if you are embedding photos form other sites? You might have to put your info into 2 or 3 successive posts?

Does anyone else have a problem with this site timing out? Sometimes I log on and can open two or three tabs, and they just spin and time out, never open. Sometimes it won't let me even open the site from my browser. It is only this site that I have issues with? Anyone having this difficulty?

@bearpaw, I am using my home pc with a firefox browser. I do not have a problem using my phone (android).

We do have some technical issues throwing a lot of errors, we are searching for an SMF knowledgeable code writer to look into the issue. There are some things occurring at times that we cannot explain and I think it's related to these errors that are occurring. We have not gotten anyone to do this yet, but in time we should get someone to do it.

I have been having the same problem as you Full Choke, for almost a year now. This is the only site that I have ever had this problem on:(

Ok. I did get one notification about ten minutes ago, so I guess that seems to be working. I couldn't open the page earlier, just spinning and not opening.

This issue happened to me earlier, couple of months or so ago, and I figured it had something to do with the meme thread. I wiped all cookies, deleted all browsing history, and basically started over and that seemed to work for awhile. I have avoided the meme threads since, and this just started again recently. It only happens on this site, or I would suspect I had some kind of bug.
Anyhow- it seems like I can only access for a short period and then it happens again. Maybe it is machine? Anyway- I appreciate all you do around here Dale.

Yeah, i don't know. I have wiped cookies and caches again and seeing if this works. Seems like I am on a time limit or something. I can access for a short time and then it starts not opening pages etc.

Maybe someone is telling me I spend too much time on here?
