last day for me
« on: October 27, 2011, 10:05:04 AM »
yesterday a buddy and I went to 388. I drew a second deer tag in that unit, and we both still have our buck tags. Chances are go were going to drag somthing out. We jump a doe right off the bat still a little early so we passed. Couple hrs later we hook up and neither one of us has seen a shooter buck (3pt). Mainly does, spikes, and a couple forkies. Time to make a push to see what come out. I get in position sam goes to the top of this hill an starts to zig zag. I can't see anthing but have a good idea that they'll come straight to me or come from my right side. After waiting 10 or so mins I hear something behind me it's several does sam pushed.I go to grab my call to see if I could stop them an figure no time. Did a quick scan while they were going  by found one.  Swung the 06 and dropped her 20 yards. Then they stoped looked at her then me and took off again. Must have been about 10 deer mosltly does with a couple spikes in the mix. she wasn't the biggest but a good size. We got her cleaned upand took off to find some shooters. Several hrs later to no avail nothin except more of the same does an spike. When we got  back I took a couple pics not great and messy
