Mine are fog-proof/Vortex. I used to use Rain-X for my motorcycle goggles when it was raining. I don't know if it's recommended for fine optics though.

I haven't had a problem yet, but i hunted early bow and it was hot and dry until the last day. No problems the last day. Now that it's colder, I may. I've only had them for about 3 months.

I purchased the Cabelas XTs right before hunting season and they worked awesome in the Cascades in early Sept., but as soon as I started hunting October on, with the cold, moist, and rainy conditions, they fogged up like crazy.

I returned them last week for a pair of Bushnell Legend Ultra HD binocs which are working much better with their Rainguard coating.

Warm, moist air will always condense on cold glass (cold anything). Is the "fog" developing on the eyepieces? It's probably from warm, moist air exhaled by YOU. Solution? I just figured this out last night while waiting for Bambi to show. Exhale deeply, then put the binos up to your face while your slowly inhale. Hold your breath until you have to exhale. Just before you exhale, pull the glasses away from your face and blow. It works.

Get a couple good optics rags. I have Leica's and would never put anything like Rain x on them. Most of the tim when mine fog up its because of my sweaty face close to the cold glass. Just keep drying them off not sure theres much else you can do.

Pope is correct!!!
Back in my SCUBA diving days we used to put toothpaste or dish soap on the inside of the mask then wash it out before we went in.  I am going to try this with my binocs and report later this weekend.
(puts a fine film over the lens)   Do not worry, my binocs are not worth anything anyways   LOL

Carry a rag with you. I have a good pair of Nikons and like all my other bino's, when it's cold and rainy or snowing, they fog up. A good rag is the only to keep them clear.
