I shoot the Montana 300 WSM.  Love it!  Tack driver out to 400yrds.  However, I did have a jam on my follow up bullet deer hunting this year.  Luckily I didn't need the follow up.  I haven't shot it since, but I think it was a defect in the bullet casing.
I love the weight of the rifle for hiking and packing.

Buying a Kimber rifle or 1911 is a crapshoot. When they're right, the rifles are probably the best over the counter rifle you can buy.  When you get a bad one,you just bought $1200 worth of headaches.

Same for their 1911s.

Exactly, I have owned two Kimber Pro-Carry II's that wouldn't shoot with anything you fed them. I got rid of them and never bought another Kimber 1911. I have shot a friends and it shoots lights out sweet. Have several other friends that swear by them, luck of the draw.

Kimber 1911's don't like cheap ammo...but why would you shoot cheap ammo out of a kimber???  Mine loves what I feed it....and it amazingly accurate.

I had a Kimber Varmint 22-250 it would'nt shoot either, my 700 shot around it all day. I've read to many stories
about the Montana. I went with the Sako 85 Finnlight 300WSM with factory 180 tsx shoots 1/2-3/4 moa, with the
Leupold vx3 4.5x14 it's only 7#.But like other folks have said maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones.
