going to find the state land on the north side. planning camping there somewere. going over the map later tonight. to bad we cant hunt the cougar side. so funny was going to be more gates open this year. not looking good. got some killer elk call's i made . just going to enjoy myself. cant wait. I came through there Sunday and they have evreything locked down.
The logging operations are in the thinned area along the 82 rd back towards the lava beds, and from the 7200 around the north side of the lake.
A very large area.
Signs are posted on the 7200 and 7500, no vehicle access.
I think that herd is probably pushed east toward Cougar or west past Lake View Peak.
It's not true that I am good for nothing---I can be used as a bad example!!

I'm going to stay then on the north side. going to leave in the morning. going to make a few elk call's to sell. i'll be camped in a green cabelas extreme tent. very comphy. Rick ;)
