Is it worth trying? I have heard pros and cons but I live close by and with a permit its hard not to try.I got a 3pt blacktail 2 weeks ago and have not been up since to look around. Any advice besides C-Post. Thanks.

Don't have any info for you but good luck and you might try local game dept.  :dunno: although they could all be pretty busy right now  :dunno:

I haven't seen any elk up there, but I heard that they are there somewhere.  Good luck.

I scoured that place for 8 days, with plenty of walking.  I saw one elk track, and one elk turd.  I didn't venture to the northeast corner, which is where I would expect to see more.  I'm not totally convinced there are deer in there, as I saw a total of 7 on my hunts.  There are for sure tons of bears though (bear crap everywhere), I'm just not sure how to hunt them in that overgrown brush choked jungle.
Nothing witty here.... move along.

Well thanks for trying. I have seen deer everytime I go in there but not much elk. I was also thinking trying up above exit 38. Thanks again.
