Ok, you might be in for a little shock.  Lots of folks on here just knew no one would want to elminate the east/west elk tags, but reading the comments on the surveys is quite eye opening.  I don't think you will get the support of the rifleman or the muzzleloaders like you think you will, but you may be right and I may be spittin into the wind.  Only time will tell.  So if the survey comes back overwhelmingly against it, will that be the end of it?  Probably not.   :)

To be honest, its gonna be close.. because I know there is a bunch of die hards that want to keep things they way they are. But the very fact that this has finally gone to a poll, shows some genuine interest from a large group of bow hunters that want it changed.

I think you are wrong about the muzzy guys though.. many muzzy guys I know wish they could use 209s, ESPECIALLY the guys on the "WET-side".. and by getting the WDFW to  allow technologically advanced mechanisms, like lighted nocks, means that is also a step towards allowing 209s someday.

Just my  :twocents: :)

The link below will take you to the follow up survey. The survey is one question and should only take a minute. This is only being sent to hunters that would be regulated by a rule change. The deadline is November 16.

I wonder.........does this mean they are only sending it to hunters that would be affected by this rule change? Does this mean they are only sending it to folks who buy archery tags in other words? Rifle hunters would not be regulated by this rule change. I wonder how many on here who are not bow hunters will vote on this one.
Just thinking randomly.

That is a good thought Jackelope.  I haven't bought an archery tag, but do buy the multiseason tag.  So, was the intent to survey bowhunters or to survey hunters.
So, if the survey does show a large amount want the change, then what next?  Will they possibly survey for splitting the archery season into primitive/modern archery?

You may be right because I was not sent the survey on electric decoys for ducks.  The problem is that Modern firearms season does allow archery as well as bear and cougar tag holders so they would have to send it to almost all hunters anyway.

Good point Kain.  I noticed the only survey I got was the east/west elk survey.  And as I mentioned above I do use archery gear, but when I have multiseason tags.  So I wonder if the survey will end up filtering all the Wild IDs that were sent the survey and only consider those?  Or if all Wild IDs will be reflected.

I really don't see the harm in allowing lighted nocks............so I voted to allow the change.

Now, ML equipment is another story.  No way should they change a thing with the ML equipment, except maybe to make it more restrictive (like sidelocks only) and no sabots, etc.   :twocents:   Wonder when they will have a survey on those issues? :dunno:

Hmmm I was only "sent" one survey by the WDFW, however I've been voting on all the threads posted here??  Oops maybe?  Interesting.  Have we unwittingly screwed up their survey?
