It's a mule deer shot in Utah.   :dunno:    Or if it is a blacktail it was poached on Hurricane Ridge.   ;)

Well, there was a thread asking about the legality of hunting on Hurricane Ridge.......and surprisingly enough there are some deer that look like that buck out there.  I've heard that there was a really big deer taken out near a river near Forks.  I don't have the story.  Also heard there was a bear taken near there that was 450 lbs.

The story that came with the photo is that it was shot in the forks area, not sure if it was by a river or not but maybe the real story will turn up. I also heard of a bear and seen pics of the damn thing that hung after field dressing at #425 but the bear was taken closer to Sequim !!

That buck was killed in Tillamook Oregon, my older brothers buddy is the person that took the photo.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

I tried to bring up this buck over a week ago on that thread where that guy shot that huge blacktail that everybody was ranting about being two miles from being considered a mule deer, this buck on this thread is pure blacktail killed on the Oregon coast.  I could find out more on the story, like I said the guy that took the photo is my brow buddy.  I'd have posted the pic on here long ago but still dont know how to post them.

Oh, and it was not poached.  Lol come on guys, why does every decent buck have to be a poached buck?

:yeah: so sick of people automatically assuming a nice animal (that the hunter more than likely put a lot of work in for) is poached. Its damn near every time...

K, well I've sent my brother a text and a link to this thread.  Maybe he can get hold of the guys with factual information and you can hear it first hand from them.  I've said all I know and what I'm told.

In the story on ifish, I believe the jackwagon accusing the hunter of poaching, simply saw a picture of another monster buck that was siezed the year before. And assumed it was this buck. The buck is a stunner and from all accounts was harvested by some hard working dudes who put in their time and paid their dues. Congrats
