That's a stud mckj.  This wasn't a "quality" tag but was a late season special draw permit.  My 12 year old son, southeast Wa, Sunday morning...

Did the weather hit too late?  Anyone heard of one of those highcountry monsters taken with the late permits?  Tommorrow last day for most of them isn't it?

Personally, I don't feel the little taste of winter we just got is going to change things much by Sunday.  It certainly won't make things worse though.

I would have to disagree as there has been a fair amount of snow up high pushing more does into staging/rut areas that are far easier to access.  As a result, highcountry bucks will be pulled along with the rut.

All i can say is yeah there are some big bucks roaming around between Winthrop and twisp but has far as I know they are mostly hangin on private property ...we seen 2 hogs and one was as soon as we got over there and I ask the lady if we could hunt and this is what she tells me as soon as I get out of my truck ...LET ME GUESS YOU GUYS GOT A SPECIAL PERMIT  :hello: I INTERDUCE MYSELF AND THEN SHE SAYS ..John I would seriously let you guys hunt on my place BUT I am so tired of all these 2pts doing all the breading ..He is the only one left around my place they have killed all the mature bucks ...I am so pi$$ed off about this 3pt restriction it makes me sick !!! I go off and tell her that most of the big ones have not showed up yet !! WRONG ANSWER :yike: She says thats BS because the last few years there has not been many big ones as usual so keep that statement to yourself ... O.K LADY I GIVE UP !! :o So we seen walter in the headlights and he to was on private land ...and I seriously glassed some land scape from Goats peak- fawn cr- cub cr- sweet grass - 1st cr thru 6 th cr and parts of boulder cr and all the deer we seen was all around town and on private property except the game dept land which was full of little bucks ..which I call little now but in the general season definately shooters ...Other than going a little bit to early we had a ball and no regrets BUT I WISH YOU GUYS WOULD QUIT POSTING ALL THESE BIGGER ONES  :chuckle: :chuckle: :dunno:
