FATHEAD STRIKES AGAIN

well it starts like this, my buddy corey fell off a ladder broke the hell out of his arm a couple weeks back, well he was getn stir crazy and decided he wanted to go to vail and do some rd huntn and asked if dakota "FATHEAD" could go with him, kota was ok with that as he wanted to be home early to go to a holloween party and where i was huntn that day it would be impossible for me to get him home in time, so fathead and corey head to vail early saturday and hunt till noon and head home, well fathead was in the house and getn himself all dalled up and decided he was bored so he changes and decides to go out back and watch the gutpile from his bear in hopes that maybe a coyote or a bobcat would sniffn around, he was also using his 30-06 so i am glad none of those came in, well after sittn for a couple hours he was down by the lake watchn the ducks and whatever else was out and about, when he heard a crack in the bushes he gets turned around and hunkers down a bit and in walks this 3x2 with 3 eyeguards the picture doesnt show all the eyguards very well, but anyways this fella walks on in and fatman went to work on him, his first shot was perfect right through the lungs but the deer didnt go right down so he let him have it again right through the spine well of course he hit the deck then but was still attempting to get up so he put one through the bottom of hiss eye which traveled all the way through the guts what a mess that was, then i start getn texts telln me he got his deer in the backyard, i was a little skeptical at first thinkn maybe he just wanted me to get home and take him to his party but it wasnt the case, when i got home fathead had him all gutted out , tagged and dragged up to the house, i was pretty damn proud of my boy for not just stn on his butt in the house and going out and crackn a nice little buck and getn him gutted and tagged all on his own, great job son

Congrats Dakota - why Fathead?

As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when. No habitat = no game.

because when he was born you should have seen the size of the kids head, i had a few nicknames for him like fathead fatman , little chief, kota bear, just to name a few, i called him fatman because the day he was born he came out eatn 10 to 12 ounces at a time and it was all the time he had to be bottle fed and we had to cut bigger holes in the end of the bottle nipples so he could eat fast enough or he would get pissed, funny thing is he aint a big kid he is only 5'8 and 150lbs

Didn't he just nail a very good sized bear a week or two ago? Looking at a good hunter right there. Congratulations!

yes he got his bear about 100ft from where he got his deer, he said he wants to stay home this weekend and shoot one of the nice bulls that have been hangn out there... so you never know he may just tag out in the back yard, maybe i should stay home instead of walkn my butt off and not seeing nothn.....
