bucks still not rutin in morton

out at day light every morning no sign of the rut does are alone no rubs anywere sould be killer 4 late season

You should be seeing rubs, even if the rut hasn't started. I've been seeing rubs since the first of October, and they really got going about mid-October.

Watched a buck breed a doe yesterday.... :dunno:

Same buck the day before had googly eyes for one of my heifers and ran her through several fences trying to get her to "give up"

that buck needs culled  :yike:

I was gonna be crass and say all the morton bucks must be gay...but then I bit my tongue however after this enlightening tidbit what the heck  :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle:

Might be, but if an area becomes over browsed and the food source disappears the doe's tend to skip their heat cycle.  Natures way I guess.

I'm looking forward to the late hunt. The rut is taking its time here. There's bucks chasing does but not many.

yeah seen lots of velvet rubs but no agresive buck rubs when its on in morton  lewis county ull know it

The buck I killed on October 30th had shavings in the bases of its antlers from the tree it had just been rubbing. This is Rochester area. Surprised it would be that much different in Morton.

I hunted all day around Morton and Randle on the 31st, only found one new rub line.......not there yet is what I saw. :twocents:
