Just gotta be careful when shooting pheasant/quail while duck hunting due to the hunter orange requirement. If I am in an area where I could shoot both, I wear orange while walking around, then take it off when in the duck blind. Nice birds!

Even during archery season there is a ornge vest in my pack I knew there were phesant and quail in the area, so a few times I would dawn the vest in search of them bugger, and it paid off

I was a little ways away and smiled every time I heard the "bang..bang bang.... bang bang bang" On any given day we will see and hear at least a dozen pheasants within a few hundred yards of where we duck hunt.
I agree that there was just as much shooting from our side, if not more and probably more missing. I couldn't figure out what the heck I was doing and once you miss a few, they seem to get harder and harder to hit! Next time we will just hunt ducks for an hour or two then go get our limit of pheasants!
