John Deere Mower / Plow ???
« on: November 04, 2011, 04:06:53 PM »
I have a John Deere LA135 lawn tractor.  I am looking at buying a plow for the front of it.  Is there anyone out there that uses a plow on their riding mower?  If so how does it work?  I am affraid it will not have the power to push the snow adequately.  Any information / experience would be greately appreciated.

The plow is a bit inefficient for the task.
The snow blower attachment is a better piece if it's in the budget and can work for your needs.

The JD 4 wheel steer lawn tractor I had to use at the ranch i worked at a long time ago in E-Burg sucked. Sorry, not worth it. Just get a snowblower. The walk behind ones work pretty good.

The Lawn tractor could only push really light snow off the sidewalks around the car barn. Little bit of ice, little bit of wet....no-go...

At the ranch I had....ehh, I think it was a 4235? small diesel and a big Massey loader 4x4 to move the snow on the paved driveways. The lawn tractor blade didn't work at all. But, then again, I had a lot of snow to move and it was in Thorp.

Sent you a PM.  I've got one I've never used and a set of tire chains.  I use my Kabota now!
