well we went out into the crazy wind storm only to find some hunters had beat us to the spot we wanted to hunt...that's OK we went down about 800 yards down the lake to a spot that jutted out just enough to make a slack water wind-break, we were running late so we didn't bother throwing out any geese, just the 2 dozen brand new GHG's that I convinced my dad to purchase (so glad about that) water was rolling with white caps...well we started off with a couple here and there and then it got hot with the bluebills for a while and then the buffleheads just wouldn't leave us alone so we eventually decided to clean up on 11 of those ...couple mallards, spoonies, 11 bluebills ...i even got a 2 for one shot and later got a last second "forth shell" (cuz I had just emptied my gun on the incoming flock) shot at an escaping bluebill and just plastered him... Daisy had her work cut out for her retrieving ducks in the big waves but she did great. We did have to get the boat out a few times to get birds that were surfing away (stone dead) on the white caps but that wasn't too bad. Done by 11:00 AM good times with my dad and younger Brothers
