been looking into these, in the short action version. probabably in .260 or 6.5 creedmoor. supposed to be only 5.5lbs without the scope. thinking it would be nice for my new backcountry deer hunts. anyone shoot or have one?

Same post came up a month or 2 back. Sounds like a real sweet gun and really accurate. I want them to come out with one in 300 wsm and stainless. We will see what they roll out for the new line next year.

6lb for the long action might make you flinch in 300wsm

You ever shoot the 6.5? I was thinking of getting one but i have no experience and I don't know anyone with one.
Make every shot count cause ya might not get another.

i have not shot the creedmoore, i have shot oher 6.5s like the grendel but all the 6.5s are very efficient from a ballistics standpoint. the way the creedmoore was described to me was flight path of a .300 win with the recoil of a .243

I was looking at them for a bit, too.  Only a 20" barrel, though... I really don't like it when manufactuers lop of 2-4" of barrel to save weight.  For most rounds, this is on the "lower velocity and higher muzzle blast" side.
