Alot of it was owned by safire skys but they folded. not real hunter friendly in there. most of the elk I've seen in there are on private land .
Only the back side toward the Teanaway is owned by a timber company. the front side is all private with no legal access.
I appreciate the info. I'll be up there this weekend scouting again and was going to focus on finding roads from the west end of town leading up on the hill. I was told its mostly private but open to hunting.I heard they extending the city limits and by the sounds of it, I won't waste alot of time searching for access up there. Thank you again for the heads up.

Thanks for the continued help guys! I'm heading up tomorrow without the sleds . We are going to just see what's going on and stay in touch with a few landowners (key I think). Plus it's just killing me having to wait till the 18th to hunt.
