String/cable silencers/dampeners???
« on: November 20, 2011, 03:53:17 PM »
What does everyone use and how do you decide where to place them??  I decided to try monkey tails with my new string and hate them. They started falling apart the first day I shot with them. I think I have one that still has a tail left on it. I just went and picked up some limbsaver stuff and it got me wondering what everyone else likes and how they choose to place them.......

I switched to a string stop and that has been great for me  I also have quads in my split limbs and the pair work great!

I put string leaches on my string. They end up wearing out in two or three months of shooting. They do a good job of keeping the noise down though. Never saw much benefit from putting string leaches on on the cables.
