Tag soup! First in 11 years
« on: November 20, 2011, 05:33:06 PM »
Well this has been the hardest year i can remember :bash: In 11 days in the wood i saw 4 does and zero bucks! The area i hunt has produced some big bucks in the past but this year i heard of none being taken. I know the weather had a large part in it but not sure what else could be going on??? I hope they do not open the gates next year.  :twocents:

We saw several bucks on eastside...but none LEGAL....wetside...just does...and today ONLY ONE.

Spent a lot of today trying to GET INTO about 4 sections of timberland that is OPEN...but surrounded by private land.
A Smith & Wesson Beats Four Aces.

Whatta ya mean I can't have one of each?

What we have here is...Washington Department of NO Fish and WATCHABLE Wildlife.

WDFW is going farther and farther backwards....we need FISH AND GAME back!

You are not alone, nost of my buddies have eaten tag soup this year and they usually all get their bucks.  A couple of them have 3 or for tags in their family and are eating all of them.  At least you got out, I'm looking at eating my deer and elk tag possibly without stepping foot in the woods (except 3 hours of muzzy elk with my daughter).  Between work, chores around the place, kid and plain olr responsibility I might only have time to shoot a couple of coyotes in the pasture.  I had a 23 year streak until last year (still took a buck in Alabama) but this might be another one and honestly, I don't have a problem with it.
