Brothers first deer
« on: November 21, 2011, 07:16:56 PM »
My brother shot this deer last Tuesday. It is his first deer, the hunt started on Monday but we didnt see much the wind was blowing really hard could barely hold the binos up. We went to an area where we seen a decent 4 point and on the way down the road towards it we seen a truck coming out with the 4 point in the bed of there truck. On Tuesday we seen a nice 4 point on the way in but never could get a shot. Later in the day we were driving to a spot where we could glass while we ate our lunch and on the way we spotted his deer through the trees with a couple does. He got a rest against one of the trees and waited for the deer to turn and shot about 80 yards through the trees and dropped it. Then on the way up to the deer it got up and ran, when we got to where he shot it we followed the blood and tracks, it was laying about 30 yards away from where it was first shot. Its a nice 3 point with eye guards and has another little point at the base of its right side. 21 inches wide.

Fireball whiskey in the ice chest and some sandwiches, had a little of both after he shot the deer.

When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.
