Wheat Country Roosters
«

Good weekend hunting the wheatfields north of I-90. All wild birds. All public access with "written permission." Lot of boot leather laid down - but there are birds out there.

That would be a Wirehair from Inverness kennels near Monroe. 9 years old, has not lost a step and is smarter every year.

MR5x5 nice job. Just wondering with all the birds put down how many got away (or how many are still out there for me
)?
Love the wirehairs. I have talked to Iverness kennels in the past, but she didn't have any pups in the time frame I was looking to buy one, so i ended up with a shorthair. Now had a wirehair for three years and she is a totally different dog.

Pooped pup for sure. Any birds left
Only managed to put up a handful from the flock 50+ that busted from one wheatfield into the scablands.
Just waiting for a good snow now. The look on their faces when the first big one hits is priceless.
