Is it worth it?
« on: November 22, 2011, 04:58:58 PM »
I am curious how many of you guys out there have used them on your shotguns and if it makes any noticeable difference..... is there a possibility they might have too much give for a semi-auto , causing it not to eject or something... I was thinking it might be a nice Christmas present....

I shot a 870 from the age of 10 Though 50 never thought it kicked to begin with. But maybe a 20g might be better.

I hunt exclusively with a 20 gauge. Get her a 20 gauge and she'll be fine.

As long as the stock stays the right length for her why not?  :dunno:
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

I shot my sons pump 20 gauge browning bps....the damn thing nearly knocked me over....I weighed less then than now, however I wasnt exactly tiny by any stretch, that said I have zero desire to ever shoot it again pretty much turned me off of shotguns....I think it all depends on the shooter... do what suits them best....let her do the shooting to decide which is better  :dunno:

I put one on my 12ga and it made a world of difference.
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

A 20g usually has more recoil than a 12g when shooting similar loads, because they weigh less.

My buddy put a limb saver on and it is way different.  Lessened the felt recoil.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

for the Rem they sell it with the name "R3" on it, but have had one on an 870, and still have the one on my mossberg.. huge difference, excellent pad. the day i put the pad on my m500, i went and rapid fired 6 rounds of slugs.. and the only thing that hurt was my cheekbone..
