Great story and buck. I fell in the snow in Idaho this year and hit the side of my knee on the corner of a rock. As soon as it happened I felt that sharp, hot pain. It swelled up pretty good and then turned black and blue about about the diameter of a softball so I feel your pain. I normally wear a knee brace on that knee but didn't that day. I did for the rest of the trip and it helped keep the swelling down. No fun at all!  :bash:

Awesome buck, good to hear that there are some gentleman sportsman still out there......

Nice going, great story and a good buck....Theres something special about permit holders....I ran into a group of guys in the swakane, after I shot my buck they fed me a steak dinner and offered me a warm place to crash..in return I loaned them my spotting scope to help them out with the rest of there hunt...Nice to hear everyone is looking out for everyone else.

Congrats on your deer and achieving your goal!  Kudos to the guys who helped you on your hunt!  Me and my hunting buddy both had good run ins with other helpful hunters this year.  A guy I had met in the woods previous years hunting helped me this year with a chance run in by packing out an elk quarter with no pack about 2 miles when he came across my kill site (Thanks Again Bradley!), and another hunter let me and and my best bud hang out at his camp for at least a couple hours while we waited for our ride that we were starting to think was never showing after we packed out my buddy's deer.  He fed and watered us and gave us some good stories (Thanks Glen!)  I am a true believer in what comes around goes around, I've always tried to help others whenever I can and have had lots of times others have helped me.

Nice Story!

Mike
