savage axis trigger

i bought a savage axis and the trigger is a little too heavy, how much would it cost to get a new trigger or a trigger job?

If you can find a trigger for it it will probably run about 120. I can't find a smith where I live so I haven't had a trigger job priced.

Midway USA had the Rifle Basix 1-3 lbs trigger on sale for $85 last week.  I haven't gotten to shoot the rifle yet, as it's getting a brake put on, but from installing it in the garage and dry-firing it, it's heads above the stock Savage trigger!!

I second the rifle basix.  Easy install and great trigger.

Go with the rifle basix trigger. I installed one on my savage and gave away the accu-trigger.

I've never shot a Rifle Basix trigger so I can't tell you anything there, but I've switched a couple of my rifles over to Timney triggers and the change has been heavenly, just  .  I like the Savage AccuTrigger, but on the Edge or Axis a trigger job will really improve the gun.
