Nice! All of that sounds good. As far as the bolt stiffness on pulling up, it will get a smidge better with shooting it. But it's a function of the design. That's how the gun gets cocked.

This is my 4th bolt action, understand its a function of the rifle.
Never had the bolt so tight at the first pull up, the rest of the action works very smooth. Just never experienced this with any others i own.

I thought most others cocked it on the way down? I wasn't trying to insult your intelligence. I just knew it was a bit of a shock on my stevens. I never remembered any other bolts charging on the way up like that.
