Got both and used both and they work just fine.   Can't go wrong with either one, just what ever you prefer.   If you can't decide then just get both and tell the wife they had a sale two for one, buy one get the other half off or something.

Any of the calibers metioned will work, find a rifle you like.

Thank you everyone for your advise and suggestions. It is very very awesome to hear everyone's opinion, I personally learned a lot! I have decided to go with a Tikka T3 Lite .308.... I do like the variety of choices with the bullets and the availability of military surplus prices, which will allow me to practice a lot more. I believe this will suit me well. I wish I had the $$$ to buy both calibers


Now the problem is where to find this rifle, FOR A GOOD PRICE.

I'm glad someone else thinks like I do! The cost of a rifle pales in comparison to the cost of being good with it. I really would like one of those but I got something more in the "cool" factor in my opinion in the works. Have fun with that gun. Pretty sweet deal tikka has with em.

Yeah, its a shame to get a very accurate rifle with a decent trigger right out of the box. I can't believe someone would do that especially when it costs well under a grand. FOR SHAME!!!
