T-day Montucky Buck
« on: November 27, 2011, 02:58:43 PM »
Don't post much anymore but thought I'd share this guy.   Shot him at about 8:15 a.m., loaded him up and headed home.   Hit a big mule deer buck at about 7:15 p.m.  that night on Lookout pass and totaled my truck.... :chuckle:

This buck is 26" wide and grosses a smidge over 170"

Don't feel so bad, I too hit a deer this year in Montana as well.  6300 hundred dollars damage but the truck will ride again. :)

Thanks!

I've hunted Montana 4 times,  this was the worst hunt I've ever had.   May have been the worst overall, out of state hunt I've ever been on as far as numbers of bucks (and deer in general).   For Montana, an opportunity state that allows rifle hunting during the rut, it was pretty bad.

Here is another buck we killed in Colorado in November.   A "last 20 minute" of the hunt 170 type buck.   Kind of a let down after messing up on a couple 190" class deer.  If only I had a tag.... :chuckle:
