Just returned tonight from a great Thanksgiving hunt. My older son (16) and I drove across the state in search of a turkey. We left on Thanksgiving evening with a challenging drive over Steven's pass. Rolled into our destination at midnight, just in time for Black Friday!. Not. We hunted hard on Friday and Saturday but managed to get good at spooking birds. Sunday on our last morning we went back to someone we had met who was having trouble with birds in their fields. So we planned our strategy and my son got his 2nd bird ever. Tonight we got home safe and sound.
