Alright. I will go measure this great buck, and give the exact measurements to end all discussion. At least we are all in agreement that this was a well deserved hard earned trophy.....especially with the lack of weather this year.

Agreed! I wasn't putting him down, I just put down my guess as to what it scored based on the pic.

I placed him as a 180 class buck(from one photo).  I'm not sure what planet that isn't a great deer.

That's a great buck, no matter how much it scores.  :twocents:

DBLDWN, I understand your frustration but don't worry about it......it's a great buck.

One thing I've learned is a sheet doesn't mean anything and you could give that buck to 10 different "official" scorers and they would all come up with different number.  I had the same thing happen last year so I told people who wanted to put a tape on to come on over and do it themselves.  I had people measure my buck from 170' (taxidermist) to 191' and I chuckled to myself every time someone came up with a different score.

If you really want to justify the 190' mark just wait the alloted time and have it officially scored and signed. Then you can slap it up here and rub it in someone's face if it bothers you that much.......

Which is why a panel of scorers is used.

Yes, but my point was that it shows even B&C and P&Y recognize there will be variances among scorers that are highly trained in how to officially do so.

I was just clarifying because it is against the rules to "Shop" for the best score as in having different guys officially score the animal. Once it is scored that is the score unless there is a dispute or a mistake on the official score.

Yes.  I think we were just on different wavelengths.  I tend to operate on a very unique one.
