well fellaz! i talked to a couple 3 hunteres who found my buck today and told me the whereabouts! they said the eyes were gone! i am wondering if i can still harvest the meat!?

So what did you do?  Hopefully you notched your tag and salvaged what you could.

If the critters did't get to it other than the birds eating the eyes, the photos with snow on the ground look like it should be cold enough. Much of the meet is likely still good.  Otherwise notch the tag and take the trophy.

Scared the birds away?  Birds don't get scared away and stay gone like an elk or a deer...  They fly up in a tree or circle till whatever "scared them" leaves.

You should be able to find this deer.  First, it probably isn't that far away.  Second, three guys told you where it was.  Third, if you can see enough to drive/walk to your hunting spot without your contacts, you should be able to find the deer.

Keep looking.  Get some friends to help and go find the deer that you killed.  If it was me I would have had one of the guys that found it, bring me to where it was right then.

ya i searched all day today in 20 mile an hour winds dint see any birds on the ground couldnt hear em either unless they flew right overhead! but i combed the hillside i believe he was talkin about! i would have volunteered to take him to his buck! but i did not ask him because he assured me i would find it but i have not yet! and im hoping that the birds will lead me to him tomorrow! im beat! oh ya only one guy saw it he was with 2 other guys! i sure wish i woulda asked him to take me but he sure dint seem like he wanted to! psssshhhhhhh im the only hunter outta my main group of friends and all my family members are out hunting somewhere else! i would ask just your average joe but its a few thousand feet in elevation gain in a short time and i dont wanna pack out a human! but thanks for the tips and encouragement i will look again tomorrow im hopeful for atleast gettin my trophy!

Dude these type posts pi$$ me off  :sry: There is no way in heII you hit this deer where you say ....When i hear someone tell me they hit a deer threw the boiler room and it got away I CALL BS !!! Now if you hit the deer an did not give it time to die then maybe yeah you may have !!i have killed alot of sheet with a bow and knock on wood I lost two animals in 30 + yrs of hunting and both were hit high about 3 " below the spine where there is nothen but an air pocket  :bash: :bash: An animal hit fatally with a sharp broadhead goes no where if you give it at least 30 min. to die  :sry: Lately I have watched them die right before my eyes  :yeah:MUST BE THAT WASP  :yeah: :dunno: :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
