Are all the topics going to be about super tags, auction hunts, raffle winners and reservation hunts?  Sniper rifles that can kill a bull at a 1000 yards.
Pages full of ads for the latest technology in elk killing?  Sorry, I'm am tired of hearing about all the dream hunts.  I would like to read some stories about a weekend hunt were  "any bull is a good bull."

I can assure you this magazine will not be all about the rampage on our wildlife, jacked up pickups, huge bore rifles, and shooting into the next county to get an elk . . .  In fact, your comments are shared by the people involved in this publication.  I hope you will find a copy when they become available and look it over . . .   Thanks for your thoughts!  Tony

Looking forward to reading this publication; Congratulations! I too would like to read something that I can actually relate to and hence learn from. It would be great to see an article on hunting elk in Western WA, perhaps even for muzzle loader?

Tony,

It's great to see you're involved with this!

I notice that they're already on the right track by using an image of a live, free ranging elk for their cover.  That's so much better than a pic of some dude holding up a dead elk's head  (trophy shots are great, and have their place . . . that place just shouldn't be the feature image on a magazine cover).

I hope the magazine is a success, and continues to be for years to come.

Im not sure how good my story will be Charlie,  Ryan contacted me wanting a story but needed it in like 3 days and I was packing for Montana antelope hunting.  I got it whipped out, hopefully it reads ok.....
