Friends Swakane buck
« on: December 01, 2011, 09:37:52 AM »
Here is a friend of mine that got this buck during archery season. This guy is one lucky hunter gets out of the truck and heads up a draw in 20 min. finds this buck bedded down under some buck brush. He worked his way around to the top side and sneaked down to 30 yards. He stood up and the buck jumped up turned around and he let the arrow fly. This kind of stuff never happens to me. I just keep telling myself I get to enjoy hunting longer right

dont feel lonely muleyhunter. i share your luck. thats a pretty nice buck. i hunted 5 days and never saw one that nice. This was the worst year ive seen yet. From what i hear, next year will be worse, cause WSDFW might take that season away from us.
Congrats to your buddy.

Ask greenhead_killer about his luck. He shot his buck in Idaho this year about a half hour after shooting time opening morning. I had barely started my hike when I got a call on the radio, "Deer down".  :yike: By the way, nice buck your friend shot too.

When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.
