How do you find out about 3D archery shoots?
« on: December 10, 2011, 03:01:10 PM »
I'm involved in Silver Arrow Bowmen Archery club in Mount Vernon. We do our best to get the word out about our shoots but i'm interested in how most people find out about 3D shoots. If you have never shot our club that is fine, how do you know about the places that you do shoot? I have only shot a couple of different clubs and normally search them out because i'm traveling near clubs with extra time on my hands. If you Vote OTHER please tell me how. If you feel so inclined, tell me why you go to a  club or not. also what are the tings you like most about 3D shoots and least. IE Challenge shots, raffles, 50-50 money shoots doe tags, moving targets???? I think all clubs could use this info to make theirs better.  :twocents:
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Doe tags... some times we set up a shot with 1-3 does and a buck. often times it is a difficult shot, and if you buy a doe tag you still get points if you hit the doe. One of the other things we try is a Mulligan, like in golf... We try and post other clubs shoots at out flat range and at our clubhouse. A complete listing of WSAA sanctioned shoots is available at http://www.crispie.com/wsaa/ but does not seem to work right now...
