Couldn't agree more Clock, and maybe someday I will share some pics but, until then I'll wait.  I believe he posted pics back in late Oct. in the other big game section?  I don't recall the name of the thread but there were some good pics in there.

I just have very strong feelings about the differences between you and I when it comes to hunting rights (which I call hunting wrongs). It will always be a wedge between our cultures. I appreciate a good hunt and effort, trust me. But you guys have no rules compared to us and that will always keep us at odds. Will I go to battle beside you to protect our freedom...NO doubt, but until we are measured the same at every aspect there will always will frustration between us when it comes to our hunting.

Really????  I am not native, so how can you presume to think there is a wedge between my culture and native cultures?  Maybe you should have said "I will never agree with the hunting rights granted to natives, and as such there will always be a wedge between myself and natives".
Maybe I should have said ''most of us'', I'll give you that.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

I'm going out on limb here... a very thin a non-PC limb, but the way I see it, if natives get to hunt the given seasons that they do, they should have to use traditional native american hunting equipment.   The white man gave you automobiles, fair enough.  We gave you firearms, you lost.  I would love to see a native stalk withing traditional archery range of an buck, let alone the BRUISERS they've been posting using the so HATED WHITEMAN technology...  Funny thing is, the whitemant is becoming the better hunter because we have to take time off of work to scout, and then take additional time off just to hunt.

funny thing is you have no idea what your talking about. see the bruiser on my profile. archery. national forest. so there goes your theroy of the lazy native. but im sure you ll have an excuse of how easy it was to take that buck. i dont hate technology. and im sure none of the tribal members on here do either. hence the computer we are using to constantly have to defend ourselves instead of just being able to talk about hunting and look at some nice pics

I respect the fact that you took the animal with archery equipment and on public land, but during what time was this animal harvested and in what GMU?  If you took it during a general archery season in a GMU all could hunt, awesome and much respect.

well boo whoo. what do you expect us to do? we go and hunt archery, make a stalk, kill a nice buck. oh but wait. we arent as good of hunters because our season is longer. yeah right. most of us tribal hunters come from generations of great hunters who have been hunting the areas we hunt for hundreds of years. we know the land the animals and their patterns. but none of that matters i guess because our seasons and harvest methods are different than yours.

I think that's a sweat buck. Especially with a bow. Nothing is easy with a bow. Relax guys. The fight isn't with him or guys who go off tje road. I saw Congrats nice buck and I'm sure well earned.

If you are pissed go up Bald Mountain roD and take pics of the slaughter going on. Or follow that POS Phil Lancaster around. Do something about it. I'm not gonna beat up a guy with a bow kill. Now road hunting with a rifle in the winter range or ny tje feed station then yes I will. But just my .02 dollars. You are all entitled to your opinion.

I try not to get involved in these debates but if I could hunt the "patterns" (wintering grounds) I would be able to kill big animals also.  This is a poor argument to your rights to hunt because my father has taken me hunting since I could walk and I dont get an unlimited season. :twocents:
